Day 6:
”Just Don’t quit”
Psalm 27:13-14 “I would have lost heart, unless I had believed that I would see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living. 14) Wait on the Lord, be of good courage and He shall strengthen your heart, wait, I say, on the Lord.”
Isaiah 40:28-31 “Have you not known? Have you not heard? The everlasting God, the Lord, The Creator of the ends of the earth, neither faints nor is weary. His understanding is unsearchable. 29) He gives power to the weak, and to those who have no might He increases strength. 30) Even the youths shall faint and be weary, and the young men shall utterly fall, 31) But those who wait on the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles, They shall run and not be weary, They shall walk and not faint.”
Galatians 6:9 “And let us not grow weary while doing good, for in due season we shall reap if we do not lose heart…”
There are some great promises for those who simply won’t quit serving God!
It may seem like the most reasonable thing to do at the time but quitting is never the solution when it comes to the things of God.
Unfortunately, I’ve known many people over my years as a Christian who quit… They gave up… It got too hard, they got sifted…
Being able to justify compromise in your life is never the green light to pursue backsliding in your faith..
“Backsliding”, that’s not a term you hear in the church much anymore… Although I’ve only truly been a part of the Church since the late 90’s, I was able to hear terms like: “Backsliding, compromise, hell, sin, ect…” Today, these terms are being deemed hateful, out of date and judgmental…
I believe this is one reason why we have so many good people simply quitting on their faith… They have justified themselves right out of the church and pursuing the will of God.
God has done too much for you to allow the enemy to convince you that there is nothing worth your continued pursuit of the plans and purposes of God…
